Specifications viewer

Overview

The specifications viewer is a full-page interactive datasheet reader for a team product. It shows the source PDF alongside extracted technical and operational specifications, with colored highlights linking each spec to its location on the document page.

Use it to verify AI extraction quality after datasheet upload or user manual upload, review spec provenance before authority submission, and understand how catalog items will appear in pursuit technical offers with highlighted source regions.

Tip: Open the viewer after every AI import and confirm:

  • Critical specs appear on the correct PDF pages

  • Highlight regions align with readable text on the source

  • Both technical and operational sections contain expected entries

  • Search finds key requirement terms your pursuits will match

  • Errors are fixed in list Content sheet β€” this page is read-only

Important: The viewer is read-only. Edit specifications via row menu β†’ Content on the products list. Saved edits appear in the viewer after refresh.

Best practices

  1. Open after every AI import β€” verify critical specs on correct pages.

  2. Use search on large datasheets β€” faster than paging manually.

  3. Fix errors in Content sheet β€” viewer reflects saved data after edits.

  4. Resize panels β€” more PDF width when checking highlight alignment.

  5. Wait for pending state β€” click Refresh after a few minutes post-import.

  6. Re-check before final pursuit submission β€” authority reviewers may see highlights in offers.

What you can and cannot do

You can

  • Navigate all PDF pages and zoom

  • Search technical and operational spec lists

  • Click bidirectionally between highlights and spec rows

  • Download the source file from the row Content panel or Download source on the products list

You cannot

  • Edit spec name/value on this page

  • Upload replacement datasheet here

  • Share viewer URL outside team permissions

FAQ

Why is View specifications missing from the row menu?

No attached datasheet. Upload via Content sheet or re-import with datasheet upload.

Can I edit specs here?

No. Use Content on the products list.

Why does the page say "being generated"?

Rich datasheet (PDF + highlight metadata) still processing. Click Refresh.

Do operational specs highlight on PDF too?

Yes β€” when references exist on entries, both types highlight.

Can I download the PDF from here?

Use Content on the products list to download the datasheet, or Download source from the row menu on the list.

Manual products without AI β€” will highlights exist?

Only if specs include page references from datasheet attachment or AI processing.

Highlights misaligned β€” is the product wrong?

Often OCR/layout drift. Edit specs in Content; highlights update after save and refresh.
