Search chats

Overview

Search chats finds a past Home assistant conversation by title when Recents grows too long to scroll. It opens as a modal over Home — not a separate page.

Search matches session names only, not message bodies or tool-step text. To recover something the assistant said inside a thread, open the likely session from Recents or ask the assistant in a New chat to help locate prior work.

Tip: Make search useful over time:

Rename sessions after the first few messages with a descriptive title
Scroll Recents to load older batches before searching if results seem missing
Use consistent naming ({tender name} — requirements, Team settings review)

Important: Search is scoped to the active team. Switch teams to find that team's chat history.

Empty filter: No chats found.

Select a result — step by step

Open Search chats.
Type part of the session title (case sensitivity depends on browser; partial matches work).
Click the matching row (or activate with keyboard).
Dialog closes automatically.
Main area loads full message history for that session.
Session becomes active in Recents and page title.

If load fails, use Try again on the inline error — same as opening from Recents.

If an old chat does not appear

Scroll Recents to the bottom to trigger load more.
Wait for additional rows.
Open Search chats again and retry.

Very old sessions may require loading more history into Recents before they appear in search results.

FAQ

Can I search inside message text?

Not today. Only session titles.

Does search work across all my teams at once?

No. Only the active team.

Will search find scheduled task names?

No. Use Team → Scheduled tasks for task management.

Can I search from Team overview?

Open Home first, then Search chats.

Why do I see today's date on an old project?

Today means last updated time — activity refreshes the grouping.

Is deleted chat recoverable?

No. Deletion is permanent for chat history.
