Understanding

Overview

The understanding module is your bid strategy workspace: capture award criteria weights, risks, compliance guardrails, win themes, evidence needs, and suggested clarification questions. Enter data manually or seed from In-depth analysis β€” results.

Understanding informs how you write β€” it is not automatically exported as a standalone submission volume. Authors use it alongside Questionnaire, Technical offer, and Document editor.

Tip: Before proposal drafting peaks, confirm you have:

  • Populated award criteria with weights summing logically to evaluation scheme

  • Imported then pruned analysis boilerplate

  • Guardrails for pass/fail constraints (certifications, local presence)

  • Evidence items mapped to obtainable documents

  • Clarifications reviewed before authority Q&A deadline

Important: Understanding does not replace compliance matrix β€” questionnaire proves line-by-line compliance.

Numbered workflow β€” strategy brief

  1. Import award criteria from results β€” delete noise.

  2. Normalize weights to tender evaluation scheme.

  3. Add guardrails for knockout requirements.

  4. Draft 3–5 win themes aligned to criteria weights.

  5. List evidence with owners and due dates.

  6. Review clarifications β€” submit validated questions externally.

  7. Brief authors β€” link themes to questionnaire sections.

  8. Use themes in document editor AI writer context.
