Notice products (extraction)
Overview
The Products tab uses AI to extract required products, materials, and specifications from tender documents β turning unstructured PDFs into a searchable, exportable list. For supplies tenders especially, extraction gives your team a head start before manual reading: product names, quantities, units, and attribute-level specs (standards, brands, IP ratings) surfaced in one place.
Extracted products are read-only on this tab. They describe buyer requirements, not your catalog. Map them to team products later in pursuit Technical offer (automapping or manual).
Tip: Before you start extraction, confirm:
You are signed in with an active team
Tender documents show ready state on Notice overview (not still syncing)
You are on the latest notice version β obsolete docs produce obsolete specs
You have sufficient AI credits (estimate badge shows before start)
SMEs will verify critical specs against source PDFs before binding compliance decisions
Important: Extraction is AI-assisted, not legal proof of requirements. Always validate binding specs in original documents for submission-critical bids.
How product extraction fits in the bid flow

See Team product for inventory concepts.
How to open the Products tab
Open a notice detail page (Notice overview or deep link).
Click Products in the tab bar.
Uses the same tender details layout and command bar as other notice tabs.
Guests see an authentication wall β sign in to view or run extraction.
Page states
The Products tab is a state machine driven by extraction job status:
Focus mode may activate during extraction for distraction-free progress viewing.
Starting extraction
When no successful extraction exists:
Open Products tab.
Review AI credit estimate badge on the start control.
Click Start extraction (or equivalent CTA).
Job queues β progress feed subscribes to live updates.
On success, the product list populates automatically.
Extraction reads tender documents already synced to Tendersight. If overview documents are still loading, wait for Ready state before starting.
During extraction β progress feed
Sequential steps typically include:
You may stop extraction mid-run β status becomes user-stopped; partial results may not appear.
After failure
Failure state explains the error class. Users with permission may open extraction report dialog for diagnostic detail (support-oriented). Retry when documents are ready and credits are available.

List entries
Each tender product row expands to show:
Product name / description
Quantity and unit when extracted
Attributes β name/value pairs (specifications, standards, brands)
Source hints linking to document sections when available
Click a row for product details panel with the full attribute list.
Pagination
Search resets to page 1. Pagination appears when product count exceeds page size.
Tender products vs team products
Import workflow:
Review and search tender products here.
Export for offline SME review if needed.
In pursuit Technical offer, map lines to team products (automapping or manual).
Capture corrections in pursuit solutions β not on this tab.

Best practices
Run extraction after documents finish syncing on overview.
Confirm latest version on Versions timeline before extracting β amended specs live in new document sets.
Use search for critical terms (brand restrictions, IP ratings, standards).
Export for parallel review by subject-matter experts.
Re-run only when documents materially change β each run spends credits.
Do not skip PDF verification for pass/fail requirements.
Relationship to lots
Multi-lot supplies tenders may scope products per lot in source documents. Extraction consolidates at notice level; cross-check Notice lots for lot boundaries when mapping financial and technical lines.
What you can and cannot do
You can
Start, stop, and re-run extraction (credits permitting)
Search and export successful extractions
Open extraction report when permitted
You cannot
Edit extracted product rows on this tab
Extract without synced documents
Run extraction as a guest
Guarantee 100% recall of every spec in every PDF page
Troubleshooting
FAQ
How accurate is extraction?
Useful for discovery and drafting; not a substitute for compliance review of source PDFs.
Can I edit extracted products here?
No. Adjust in pursuit Technical offer solutions and team inventory.
Does re-extraction delete old results?
A successful new job replaces the extracted set on this notice.
Why did extraction start but show zero products?
Documents may lack structured product tables or use scanned images with poor OCR. Manual reading still required.
Do credits charge if extraction fails?
Billing behavior follows your plan β check usage after job terminal state; failed jobs may not bill full estimate depending on configuration.
Can I extract from one document only?
Extraction runs against the notice's synced document set as configured by the product β not per-file pick on this tab.
